Acoustic Tri-batten

Monarfloor® Acoustic Tri-batten system is designed to reduce sound transmission through timber floors within a timber frame structure.

Monarfloor Acoustic Tri-batten consists of a batten bonded to LRAC foam, with a 3mm thick geotextile fibrous mat.

When installed as part of a complete sound reduction system it enables a timber floor to meet the sound transmission regulations of Part E.

Specification

The acoustic insulant shall be:

Installation
  1. Fix Monarfloor Acoustic Flanking Band at the floor perimeter.
  2. Lay Monarfloor Tri-Batten foam side up, with geo-textile plate on sub-floor. Fix through geo-textile plate by stapling into sub floor.
  3. Apply Monarfloor adhesive to the top of the Tri-Batten and apply adhesive to all tongue and grooved joints on the top chipboard deck.
  4. Install skirting and trim off excess Flanking Band.
