Tri-deck

Monarfloor® Tri-deck is designed to reduce sound transmission through existing applications.

Monarfloor Tri-deck consists of 22mm P5 V313 moisture resistant chipboard bonded to 8mm layer of LRAC foam bonded to 5mm foam rubber.

When installed as part of a complete sound reduction system it enables a timber floor to meet the sound transmission regulations of Part E (see table).

Specification

The acoustic insulant shall be:

Monarfloor Tri-deck, manufactured by Icopal Ltd, Lyon Way, St Albans, Hertfordshire, AL4 0LB.

Install Monarfloor Tri-deck in accordance with relevant specification clauses and design details.

Installation

1. Fix Monarfloor Acoustic Flanking Band at the floor perimeter.
2. Lay Monarfloor Tri-deck over floor joists, in broken bond pattern, applying adhesive to all tongued and grooved panel joints.
3. Install skirting and trim off excess Flanking Band.
