Structure Deck

Monarfloor® Structure Deck is designed to reduce sound transmission through new and existing applications.

Monarfloor Structure Deck consists of a 15mm layer of LRAC foam bonded to 22mm P5 V313 moisture resistant chipboard.

When installed as part of a complete sound reduction system it enables a timber floor to meet the sound transmission regulations of Part E (see tables).

The acoustic insulant shall be:

Monarfloor Structure Deck, manufactured by Icopal Ltd, Lyon Way, St Albans, Hertfordshire, AL4 0LB.

Install Structure Deck in accordance with relevant specification clauses and design details.

Installation

1. Fix Monarfloor Acoustic Flanking Band at the floor perimeter.
2. Lay Monarfloor Structure Deck over floor joists, in broken bond pattern, applying adhesive to all tongued and grooved panel joints.
3. Install skirting and trim off excess Flanking Band.
